Promise not

Wind blows,
And away it flows.
The sun raises everyday.
And sets, leaving the sky gray.
Great Kings ruled our lands,
And finally went down the sands.
Promise not you will stay.
After all, death gets its way.

Comes and goes, the seasons.
And so does the pleasing reasons.
Awhile, the bubbles stay.
In flash, the ripples fade away.
With the promise, the heart breaks.
A moment and a lie is all it takes.
Promise not you will stay.
Go where you wish, just go away.

I know where your heart lies.
Begins a new, when a beginning dies.
Speak your heart and walk away.
Little courage is all it takes to say.
Once, there were two friends.
With that the story ends.
Promise not you will stay.
Love for another always gets its way.

    "promise not" - are you trying to run away from something ?? or someone ??

    im not sure what made you write this ... but its put together in an effortless grace ... and has an unknown meaning which really strikes you and makes you think !!
